Idle Mind

An idle mind often falls victim to a plague of pointless questions and illogical theories.

Rejoice

Rejoice and be glad for today, the sun has risen again! Again the clouds have put on an artistic performance as they dance through the multicolored sky; streaking, grouping, and painting the endless blue wonder with its fantastic shades of gray and white.

As independence day quickly approaches in the US, liberty, freedom, and the sacrifice that is made to ensure them is in every good American's mind. Here's something i thought fitting:

"Freedom that is not fought for, not sacrificed for, is not freedom but rather enslavement to an idea."

Huge thanks to all the servicemen and women out there who fight for our freedom and sacrifice their safety to protect it. Happy 4th of July everyone.

Only after we look into a mirror and recognize the good we have done can we truly appreciate the good others have done.

Nature

Everything that there is to be seen in nature can, in one way or another, be seen in people. All things in nature mirror each other in sometimes the most obvious ways.

A flowing river represents the constant change of time and the rapids in such a river can show troubles and danger. Whether or not you are in a raft at such a time or beside one is your choice but regardless the river runs into through and out of them.

A fire's brilliant glow and multitude of colors are the essence of personality as no two licks of flame are the same but they both still have identical burning feeling to the touch of an unwary onlooker. The way the fire of our soul burns is a direct reflection of our inner stability, emotion, and being.

A blade of grass is affected by changing winds, nourishing soul, and a sunny outlook. Need I say more? Like grass, we need 4 things to survive: cleansing water, a nourishing environment, ever changing winds (though not to strong), and a bright outlook on the world. If our view is dark and foreboding, then what reason do we have to partake in it? What motivation exists? We would be wasting the gift of our breath.

As you go on through your day, reflect on the things around you. Realize that just as you have had troubles, trees have had droughts and continue to flourish. The waves crash but always reform. Feel free to comment about the connections you guys have made :) no matter how abstract or symbolic :)

We preoccupy ourselves with the needs and whims of others. Let yourself step back and enjoy the effort you have so willingly given to others. As people we are faced with so many troubles, so many pains. When they surface and bear their teeth reflect not on the scars of the past but rather the beautiful works that have been performed.

Today is a day for rejoicing,
a day for joy,
a day for happiness.
do not let it waste. Seize the moment, seize the day and live the life you want to live.

Life's Unwanted Burden

The burden that we all bear as people must be let go, no matter how strong our attraction to it. We deserve to be free from the ropes of our stress and troubles so that we can truly live our own life in actual happiness.

A lie is as severe as its supposed truth

The brain is a labyrinth and only its owner knows his way in and out. Many will try to enter, only to get lost in the ever-winding network of thoughts and ideas

The idea of changing the future is idiotic as any change you do will have already happened 10 minutes later...

The notion of privacy is ludicrous as we all have our own eyes and we all watch our own actions.

Those who fear the dark will never see the light of innovation.

Only things in which humans do not play a role does fairness truly exist.

When the mind is vacant, there are no thoughts. Neither positive nor negative. The mind is at complete peace. Tranquility.

People preach that the truth will set u free. But does it not also have the ability to cage the heart and enslave others to a world of guilt?

People say a picture is worth a thousand words but through music, a thousand words form a breath taking picture.

Hope, although not tangible, not cutting, not hurting, is the most powerful weapon any man can have.

That which many wish for most, they already unknowingly have. (not an original but still a great quote)

The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen with the eyes but felt from the bottom of the heart. (Nooooot original again but like it :))

Purpose

welcome to vocal thought! unlike many blogs, i have no intention of writing endless memoirs about my life or anything like that. actually what i plan on doing is posting the sayings and phrases that pass through my mind (that are more often than not completely original). feel free to use them but please do not take credit. thanks!
